Menstrual Cycle: Understanding It Better

Most of us know when our last period started, but just tracking the bleeding is not enough to assess the health of our cycles. To understand whether a cycle is balanced, it is important to record key events.
Cycle Phases
1. Follicular Phase (Day 1 to Ovulation)
- Menstruation: Color, texture, smell, and duration indicate whether hormone levels were healthy.
- Ovulation: Detectable by tracking basal body temperature and cervical mucus; poor ovulation can cause luteal phase imbalance.
- Main hormones: FSH, estrogen, and LH.

2. Luteal Phase (Pre-Menstrual Phase)
- Main hormone: Progesterone, responsible for maintaining the endometrium and promoting mental calm.
- Understanding this phase helps manage premenstrual symptoms better.
